​Because Restify is a B2B (Business-to-Business) SaaS platform, we act as a Data Processor for the end-consumer data collected by our restaurant partners, while our restaurant partners remain the Data Controllers.

  • ​Restaurant & Account Data: When you register your business on Restify, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, branch locations, and billing information.
  • ​Operational & Proprietary Business Data: We securely store data critical to your restaurant's operations in our cloud servers. This includes: Menu & Recipe Data: Ingredients, recipe versions, manufacturing batches, and raw material inventory. (We treat your recipes and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) data as highly confidential trade secrets). ​Sales & POS Data: Transaction histories, table management logs, and shift reports. ​Staff Data: Employee names, roles, and PINs/passwords used for our Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system.
  • ​End-Customer Data (Processed on Your Behalf): When your restaurant serves guests, you may use Restify to process their data, such as: ​Phone numbers for SMS API integrations, digital e-receipts, or loyalty programs. ​Payment references and transaction IDs generated through our Mobile Money integrations (e.g., Hoopay, local telecom APIs).
  • ​Cloud Connection & Device Data: Because Restify operates as a centralized cloud-based platform, we collect standard device and connection data to ensure optimal performance. This includes IP addresses, browser types, device identifiers, and API request logs to maintain secure, real-time communication between your POS hardware and our central servers.

​We do not sell your data. We use the information collected exclusively to deliver and improve the Restify ecosystem:
​To power core features: Calculating real-time recipe costing, managing raw-material inventory deductions, and generating live reports.
​To ensure reliability: Maintaining continuous, real-time data synchronization with our cloud servers to prevent data loss.
​To process payments: Facilitating secure communication between your POS and third-party payment gateways.
​To provide support: Our Technical Support and QA teams may access system error logs to troubleshoot issues and fix bugs.

​Cloud Infrastructure Providers: Your data is securely hosted on industry-leading cloud servers.
​Payment Processors: Transaction amounts and reference IDs are shared with integrated payment gateways to process mobile and card payments securely.
​SMS Providers: If you use our SMS API features for customer notifications, phone numbers and message content are securely routed through these providers.
